Detroit FT Infant Nanny

Discrete downtown Detroit family with 6 yo b/g twins and 3-month-old girl need a full-time nanny immediately. 4 or 5 days a week, hours are 7:45-5pm. Big kids are in school all day but need picking up after school (3/3:30pm). Long term candidates only (1-1.5 years) but could stay on longer but in a part-time capacity.

Must be able and willing to pass a background check, full social media check, have recent nanny references and sign an NDA and contract with the family. Family would request evenings and weekends occasionally, but this is not a deal-breaker as they will have babysitting support additionally. Guaranteed 30 hours weekly at a minimum. $16+ hourly depending on experience. This is a taxed position with holidays and 1-2 weeks paid vacation to be negotiated with the candidate.

Family has security cameras set up in their loft style home (more for security, not nanny watching). Mom might work from home occasionally, but will be in her bedroom. The baby girl is exclusively breastfed, so someone who is comfortable with handling milk properly is necessary. This family is in the public eye, so professionalism and discretion are important. Nanny will be requested to accompany this family to events so proper etiquette and attire are required.

Family cloth diapers, and hopes to find a nanny comfortable helping the family wash/maintain them. Children’s laundry is a requested duty as well as running/emptying dishwasher, washing bottles, preparing light meals and occasionally preparing a meal kit for the whole family dinner. This family is very active in the community and hopes to find a nanny who wants to explore the city with all 3 kids. They live near 2 parks/playgrounds and within walking distance to many fun excursions.

This family has had a nanny before, for 2 years. Nanny must feel comfortable driving the kids in their own car. Engaging with the kids with activities and outings is required. Family has many memberships the nanny can utilize with the kids. Family dislikes scolding/yelling but prefers the kids to have clear boundaries and natural consequences for poor decisions. They want to find a nanny who supports their progressive/green/active/healthy lifestyle and who will become part of their family.
