A loving, professional family in Grosse Pointe Woods is seeking an experienced and dependable full-time nanny to care for their infant daughter beginning in early November 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned childcare provider who is confident with newborns and is looking for a stable, long-term position with a kind and respectful family.

About the Family

This dual-physician household includes Mom, currently completing her residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and Dad, a palliative oncology physician. They are expecting their first child in August and are looking for a calm, compassionate, and organized nanny to grow with their family. The home is also shared with three small, friendly (but not well trained/jumping) dogs, so a dog-lover is a must!

The family describes themselves as clean, structured, and down-to-earth—with a strong desire to foster a respectful, collaborative relationship with their caregiver. They deeply value reliability, open communication, and a nurturing presence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide loving, attentive care for infant (will be ~3 months old at start)
  • Feedings, diaper changes, soothing, nap support, and age-appropriate developmental activities
  • Baby-related housekeeping (baby laundry, bottles/dishes, tidying play areas)
  • Occasional help with household tasks such as emptying/loading the dishwasher and light errands (e.g., dry cleaning or grocery store as the child gets older)
  • Letting the family's dogs in and out during the day

Ideal Candidate:

  • Has extensive experience with infants (not a first-time nanny)
  • CPR & First Aid certified
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19, Flu, Tdap, and MMR
  • Comfortable around dogs and pet-friendly
  • Clean, organized, and mindful of household preferences (vegetarian household—no cooking meat in their house)
  • Non-smoker
  • Owns a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Female candidates preferred by the family
  • Seeking a long-term position (minimum 3-year commitment)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $22+/hour (W-2)
  • Guaranteed 40 hours/week + time-and-a-half for overtime
  • 2 weeks paid vacation + 5 paid sick days
  • Paid holidays (covered by parents' schedules)
  • $50--$200/month wellness stipend (may be applied toward healthcare, education, phone bill, etc.)
  • Occasional car detailing
  • Support for continued education or professional development

Additional Notes:

  • No weekend or evening hours expected
  • Travel possible starting Spring 2026
  • They are not able to accommodate caregivers who bring their own children to work (unless it's an emergency)

This is a warm, thoughtful family looking for a true partner in raising their daughter. If you're an experienced infant caregiver seeking a stable and supportive long-term role, we'd love to hear from you!
