Job Title: Professional Nanny for Active Infant

Location: Detroit, MI (Brush Park)

Schedule: Tuesday--Thursday (8:30 AM--4:30 PM); flexibility available on Mondays/Fridays.

About the Family

A professional, science-minded family in Detroit is seeking a warm, engaging, and active nanny to join them long-term. The family has one daughter, A (4 months old), who is a happy, smiley baby currently hitting all her developmental milestones. The parents value open communication, kindness, and positivity.

The Role

The family is looking for a dedicated partner in A's growth. Beyond standard infant care, they are seeking a caregiver who will be active, read to their daughter, and enrich her daily life. The household includes a friendly German Shepherd, Josie, who is a beloved family member. The ideal candidate would love dogs, enjoy playing fetch, and be able to take Josie for daily walks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving, and safe infant care.
  • Engage Alice in age-appropriate developmental activities (playtime, walks, reading).
  • Manage infant-related tasks, including bottle preparation, baby laundry, and meal prep (as Alice transitions to solids).
  • Assist with light household tasks, such as running and emptying the dishwasher.
  • Collaborate with the parents, who occasionally work from home.

Qualifications

  • Prior infant care experience is essential.
  • Candidates must be reliable, responsible, and proactive.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is required.
  • An early childhood education background or a relevant degree is considered an asset.
  • The family prefers a candidate who is science-minded and current on vaccinations (Flu, Tdap/MMR).
  • A valid driver's license is required, along with access to reliable transportation.

Perks & Compensation

  • Compensation: $25+/hour (paid via payroll).
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed.
  • Benefits: 2 weeks of paid vacation, 5 days of sick time, paid federal holidays, and a $300/month health insurance stipend.
  • Travel: There is an opportunity for both domestic and international travel; a valid passport is required.
