Newborn Nanny Needed in Grosse Pointe Shores

Executive Nanny Position

Location: Grosse Pointe Shores, MI

The Family:

A dynamic, professional family in Grosse Pointe Shores is seeking an exceptional Nanny to provide high-quality care for their newborn daughter (born in November 2025). The parents are two highly-educated professionals, both working from home two days a week in separate offices. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated caregiver looking to integrate into a family-oriented household.

The Role & Schedule:

Family is looking for a flexible candidate to start as soon as **January 5, 2026** (or potentially late December for night services).

**Initial Phase (Maternity Leave - until April 2026):** Part-time support (likely 5 hours per weekday, to assist the mother while she is home. The family is open to a later start time, such as **11:00 am -- 4:00 pm or 11:00 am -- 7:00 pm**. OR starting right away full time.

  **Full-Time Phase (Starting April 2026):** Full-time care as the mother returns to the office. The schedule will be approximately **43 hours per week**:

  Mondays & Fridays: 8:00 am -- 4:00 pm

  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays: 7:00 am -- 4:00 pm

*Note: Night services are a potential interest to the family, starting in late December.*

Core Responsibilities:

  * Provide comprehensive care for the newborn, including feeding (handling pumped breast milk/bottles), diapering, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

  * Manage all aspects of the child's needs: the child's laundry, preparing the child's food/bottles, and organizing the infant's space and clothing.

  * Sanitizing bottles and maintaining general cleanliness in the common areas.

  * Plan and engage in educational activities as the child grows (trips to the library, museums, swimming, etc.).

  * Run/empty the dishwasher as needed (no grocery shopping or personal errands are required).

  * Drive the child when older; the family provides a car and insurance coverage.

Compensation & Benefits:

 **Hourly Rate: $25++ per hour, gross of taxes.

**Time Off:2-3 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO), 5 sick days, and most federal holidays off.

 **Monthly Health Stipend: dependent on needs of candidate

**Continuing education expenses for the nanny.

**Perks: Access to the local Grosse Pointe Park amenities (tennis, pool, marina) with a park pass.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

**Experience: Proven experience with infants and toddlers is essential. Previous nanny experience is a plus.

**Education: Ideally possess a degree (Associate's minimum) or demonstrate extensive childcare experience and be well-read on child development. Montessori experience is a huge bonus.

**Safety: Must be certified in CPR/First Aid

**Health: Required to be fully vaccinated, including COVID-19, MMR, Tdap, and annual flu shots.

**Attitude: Open-minded, values reading and an educational environment, and comfortable with a family seeking a long-term, family-member dynamic with their caregiver.

**Additional Skills:  The family is open to a nanny who speaks a second language (e.g., Spanish, French, Gujarati). Must be comfortable around water/swimming due to an unfenced pool (fence is planned).
